Stabbing in Great Falls Injures 1, 1 in Custody

A stabbing taking place in Great Falls late Friday night left one injured, and one in custody.

It was shortly before 11pm that police received reports of a stabbing at a residence on Upper River Road in Great Falls.

Upon arrival police say they saw thirty-one year old Tabatha Cave still in the residence, and a male with a cut on his hand. According to Great Falls Police, Cave claimed she was attacked by her boyfriend and admitted to the stabbing. A knife was found at the scene, and her boyfriend says that she attacked him and his cut resulted from when he put his hand up trying to defend himself. The victim suffered a deep laceration to his hand.

Cave is still in custody at the Cascade County Detention Center at this time. She is facing one charge of felony assault with a weapon. The victim was released from Benefis after receiving medical attention.
