Community Spotlight: Ice Breaker

In our April 16th Community Spotlight, Tori Bender sat down with Patty Rearden, from Parks and Recreation, to hear about their 35th annual Ice Breaker.

This year's race is on Sunday April 27th. They are expecting 4,000 runners, joggers and fitness walkers to show up for either a 1, 3, or 5 mile run. Participants range from recreational walkers, families having some fun, to competitive runners.

As for the funds, they will all go towards next year's race and the remainder will go to Parks and Recreation.

Registration is Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at the Park and Recreation Office or online at Forms are also available at Universal Athletic and Scheels stores across Montana. Those who register before April 19th will be eligible for special prizes. Entree fees are $14 for children 10 and under, and $20 for those 11 and older. A family of four can also register for $58. Each additional child is $12 after that. For more information, please call 771-1265.
