SPOKANE, Wash. - One night after the McDonald's at Monroe and Francis was robbed at gunpoint, another fast food chain was the victim of an armed robbery in north Spokane Wednesday night.

Both Spokane Police and Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an armed robbery call at the Wendy's near the "Y." Officers say just after 9:30pm, a man walked up to the drive thru between a car and the window displaying a black handgun. The man reached in through the window and grabbed the entire cash tray out of the register, just like the robbery at McDonald's the night before.

No one was injured and the suspect took off.

Officers responding set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 unit to track the suspect but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as white, in his 20's, about 5'10" and 160 pounds. He was wearing a grey beanie with a grey and blue plaid jacket.

Detectives recovered fingerprints left on the window and are taking a look at surveillance cameras in the area as they continue their investigation.

Anyone who may have more information about this robbery or the one at McDonald's on Tuesday night is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
