Gable Files Suit Over Mistreatment

Posted: Updated:
A year after being convicted on two counts of deliberate homicide in the murder of her husband and his lover in Helena, the defendant is now suing the Gallatin County Detention Center over her treatment.

Michelle Gable is now seeking $100,000 saying that before her conviction, she was discriminated against due to a disability.

Gable was sentenced one year ago to two-hundred years in prison for the 2011 shooting deaths of her husband Joseph Gable and Sunday Bennett, this coming after Joseph Gable filed for divorce days before.

Gable was housed in the Gallatin County Jail for part of 2012, and in the lawsuit she claims to have been denied the use of a wheelchair, and claims that jail staff would take away her mattress pad and several more items as a result of her complaints.
