Today folks came out in the rain to clean up the city of great falls on this years Mapril clean up day. Every year the community hosts a city-wide cleanup event. It's called mapril cleanup and it has been going on in Great Falls for over 30 years now. The volunteer-driven clean-up aims to make the city of Great Falls look a little better.

At the Expo Park, the Turf Club is one of the groups working hard in the rain to ready the fair grounds for the up coming summer events. Put on by Neighborworks the clean up includes the volunteer efforts of Malmstrom Air Force Base as well. Folks cleaning up the Expo Park say a little rain wont dampen their spirits.

    UPDATE: Officials say the massive wildfire that has destroyed about 150 homes in north-central Washington is now more than half contained.The rain and hail that fell on Wednesday, wasn't enough to extinguish the nearly 400-square-mile Carlton Complex of fires, but it gave crews a chance to dig lines along the south and east parts. The fire is 52% contained.
