GREAT FALLS -
A Helena man is injured after an unusual car accident in the capital city and is possibly facing charges.
It was shortly after 11am that the twenty-seven year old was reportedly driving on Poplar Street in Helena. According to authorities, the man had several warrants out for his arrest when he saw a Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's car. Shortly after the man drove away and eventually drove through a fence and jumped the southbound ramp on Interstate 15.
He eventually landed in the northbound lane. Montana Highway Patrol says he was conscious at the time they came to the scene.
State Attorney General Tim Fox, who provided the photo through Twitter, says that he stopped to help direct traffic, and that the suspect is lucky to still be alive and that he flew 100 feet out onto the interstate.
