My Neighbor in Need will be hosting a new event in Great Falls this weekend at Vans IGA on 10th Avenue South. After a very successful "Fighting Child Hunger Week," My Neighbor in Need will be receiving 2 tons of food that will be sent to local Student Pantry's through an event called a food flash mob. They will be at Vans IGA. This Saturday and are inviting all to attend.
"Well no it's going to be a combination of your typical flash mob where the people that are in the store don't know what is going on. There will be probably 10 shopping carts with 2-3 assigned per cart, with a list of things they need to get. And the idea is to go out and fill your cart in 43 minutes. So we do 10 carts in 43 minutes, which will equal about a ton of food," says Founder Dave Snuggs.
My Neighbor in Need announced today that they will be expanding to the High-Line area by May 1st. Another branch office will be added in Chinook. And if that wasn't enough good news, my student in need will be coming to every school in Missoula county starting May 5th.
