Frontier/Prep Softball Highlights, Tuesday 4/29

The University of Great Falls split their final two games of the season, winning the first game 9-1 in five innings and dropping the second game 3-0. The Lady Argos finished the season 15-16 and will travel to Jamestown, ND for the North Star-Frontier Conference tournament. Their first game is scheduled for Friday against Jamestown.

Capital High traveled to Belgrade for some inter-class Softball. The Bruins prevailed 14-10, improving their overall record to 9-2.

    ATHOL, Idaho - After a thorough investigation into the fire that closed a portion of Silverwood Theme Park last weekend, investigators with the Timberlake Fire Protection District say it was most likely an improperly discarded cigarette that started the fire.

The water park was evacuated while crews worked to put the flames out.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A 57-year-old Boise man died when the motorcycle he was driving went off the road and crashed in a ditch in northern Idaho. The Idaho State Police identified the victim as Gerald V. Wilburn. It says the accident occurred about 7:50 p.m. Friday on U.S. 12 in Idaho County near the Apgar Campground. Wilburn was traveling alone.
