Community Spotlight: Easter Seals-Goodwill Caregiver Series

Posted: Updated:

In April 30th's Community Spotlight, Tori Bender spoke with Chelle Feist from the Easter Seals-Goodwill, and she was here to tell us about the Caregiver Series they are offering to the public.

Their goal is to help people know what to do if they become or already are a caregiver. They believe it is something many don't prepare for, and can be really hard on both parties.

The series will be held on the second Thursday of each month, from 12:00-1:00 pm, in their downtown conference room at 425 1st Avenue North. All are invited to bring their lunch and listen in on the different topics and speakers. Their schedule includes:

May 8th- legal documents and guardianships

June 12th- end of life documentation questions

July 10th- understanding medicare basics

August 14th- understanding medicaid basics

September 11th- caregiver burnout

October 9th- caring from a distance

The event is free. For more information, please call 771-3746.
