Saints' Van Diest Mock Drafting NFL Draft

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - The NFL draft kicks off Thursday, May 8 at 6 PM Mountain Time, but the journey to get there is much longer. For months teams call, scout, and check out every prospect they think may be worth investing millions of dollars for their franchise. And everyone is an expert.

The art of making a mock draft is a fan favorite. Everyone thinks they know who to pick and who is best, but what about arguably the best football mind in all of Helena?

Carroll Saints head football coach Mike Van Diest has six national championships under his belt, and plenty of experience evaluating talent. Now he's no NFL executive but he knows a good player when he sees one. So considering players abilities and team's situations, coach Van Diest came up with this top 10 NFL draft picks:

1. Houston - Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina.
2. St. Louis - Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville.
3. Jacksonville - Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson.
4. Cleveland - Khalil Mack, LB, Buffalo.
5. Oakland - Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn.
6. Atlanta - Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh.
7. Tampa Bay - Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M.
8. Minnesota - Jake Mathews, OT, Texas A&M.
9. Buffalo - Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina.
10. Detroit - CJ Mosley, LB, Alabama.
