Donate Blood In Helena

Posted: Updated:
Donating blood is a great way to literally save lives in our community and the Red Cross is giving you the opportunity to do just that this week.

On Thursday, May 15th, the St. Peters American Red Cross Blood Drive will take place at the Hospital Education Center.
You can stop by the Helena Hospital from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, and it's best if you make an appointment.
Those can be made at redcrossblood.org and will guarantee your donation time, or you can do a walk-in which could result in a wait.
Every twenty seven minutes, someone in the Treasure State needs blood and the red cross collects more than 700 pints in the state each week to give to patients in more than thirty hospitals.

A sink hole in an alley on 18th Street N and 3rd Ave N  has grown to the size of a compact car in nearly 48 hours, and the crazy part is the alley was paved just last week. We were told the hole was only about 6 inches deep last night by the city. By this morning, it had measured about 9 inches deep. Thankfully repairs have already started on the hole.
