PPL Donation Makes Future Field Trips Possible

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -
Budget cuts threatened to end the annual fourth grade field trip to Rainbow Dam, but a local company is making sure the kids keep learning.

Officials from PPL made a donation today to the Great Falls Public Schools Foundation to make sure the elementary students could continue their visits as a part of the environmental education program.

Most of the funds will cover the cost of transporting the kids to and from Rainbow Dam.

On Thursday, in part 3 of our Education for a New Generation Series, we'll will take a look at the unique educational opportunities the dam and the unit on hydroelectric power give fourth graders in Great Falls.  You won't want to miss it.
