Lamere Makes Initial Court Appearance

GREAT FALLS - Chase Lamere is facing a total of eight charges, including one for felony theft, after he was arrested Tuesday morning.
    
According to charging documents, Lamere was operating a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run, and when asked why he ran from police he said he had been drinking and was not twenty-one years old.

One witness said that she saw Lamere drive the van that hit a house, and damaged two yards. Police determined that damage to the house and the yards were consistent with the vehicle.  

Lamere reportedly provided a breath sample of .154, and at the detention center and showed seventeen different indicators of impairment during tests.

Bail was set at five-hundred dollars along with 24/7 monitoring.
