GREAT FALLS -

A fire in a Great Falls apartment building sends 2 people to the hospital. The fire started around 3:45 this afternoon at one the second floor of the curry apartment building right next to Perkins on 6th Street North in downtown Great Falls. The Fire Department had to save 2 people from the building. They were both sent to Benefis. One, due to smoke inhalation. Fire fighters moved quickly to get the fire under control.

"The fire had knocked down, it's kind of contained to it's room of origin. Although we have smoke through out the building, the building had been fully evacuated, 100% evacuated," Fire Chief Steve Hester

"I see the house smoking up but we thought it was over there," Nathan Still Smoking

I opened the door, I saw a whole bunch of smoke and then I started going to every bodies door to start banging on people, I got like 5 people out," Jeff Pfeifer

We reached out to the Great Falls Fire Department. They told us that the investigation is still on going as to what caused the fire. And they had no update on the conditions of the two people sent to the hospital.
