Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS - On Sunday we confirmed that a forty-seven year old woman was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident, and today authorities released her identity to the public.

Today Cascade County Sheriff and Coroner Bob Edwards revealed that Dixie Housel of Great Falls was driving the motorcycle in Saturday night's fatal accident.

Sunday, the Montana Highway Patrol told us that she was trying to make a left turn on Stockett Road when her motorcycle veered off the road before the driver lost control. Housel and a twenty-two year old passenger from Shelby were not wearing helmets. The passenger is currently in serious condition after being taken by Mercy Flight to Benefis to tend to her injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
