Woman Set On Fire In Mobile Home Dies In Hospital

Posted: Updated:
PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) - A Pierce County sheriff's spokesman says a woman set on fire at a Puyallup, Washington, mobile home has died of her injuries.

The News Tribune reports that sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says the 34-year-old woman had been at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle since prosecutors say her boyfriend tossed gasoline on her and set her on fire two weeks ago at the Hidden Glen Mobile Home Park. She died Sunday.

Her name was not released Monday.

The newspaper says 39-year-old Angel Reyes has pleaded not guilty to first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree arson and resisting arrest. Deputies say he, too, was seriously burned. He was released from a hospital last Wednesday and booked into the Pierce County Jail, with bail set at $1 million.
