Voter App Helps Last Minute Primary Voters

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - Some Montana voters were proactive in registering and voting for the primary election. However, others may have waited until the last minute to cast their vote.

Here's how it works, download the "My Voter Page" app on your smart phone, or go to the Secretary of State's website and click on the "My Voter Page." Once there, you will be prompted to fill out your name and date of birth.

"It tells you where your polling place is. It actually gives you directions to your polling place. And then it actually gives you a sample ballot, so you can be prepared when you go into vote," said Sect. of State Linda McCulloch.

If have not registered, you can still do so until 8 p.m at the county office.

Your vote is always important, but with some very close five way races, the check you make on your ballot could change the outcome.

"Your vote counts. And in Montana, it's very important because votes are very close. I mean the races are very, very close. And so your vote does count," McCulloch said.

If you are still unable to register and vote tonight, just be sure to register for the general election in November.
