Local Statue Vandalized

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

A very visible statue in the downtown Great Falls area has become the victim of vandalism. The rain-buffalo or fish-a-low statue that sits just to the side of the 1st avenue north bridge has been vandalized. From view three of the four fins have been broken off. The statue was designed by artist Chris Miller, and was a gift to the River's Edge Trail back in 2009. Police were informed about the vandalism. The statue itself was made to look like several other buffalo statues that can be found throughout Great Falls. This one was modeled to look like a rainbow trout, a fish native to the area. Any one with information on the public vandalism is encouraged to contact the Great Falls Police Department.
