Carroll College head men’s soccer coach Doug Mello has announced that Adrian White formerly of Fort Lewis College (Durango, CO) has signed a letter of intent to play for the Fighting Saints.

White will be coming to Helena this fall as part of Carroll College’s first-ever men’s soccer recruiting class.

"Adrian is the type of player you can build a new squad around. He is a talented player who makes those around him better,” Mello said.

The 5-foot-9 midfielder originally from Plano, Texas played his prep soccer at Plano Senior High School before attending Fort Lewis and redshirting for the Skyhawks program.

“Adrian is an industrious midfielder that has speed and flair to beat opponents down the wing. I look for big things out of him this season and a bright career ahead.  We’re thankful he chose Carroll College,” Mello said.

In high school, White was a member of the U.S. Region III Team as well the North Texas State Team.  While in Plano, White played club ball for the U16 Academy Affiliate of FC Dallas as well as for the Dallas Texans U18 Academy Team.

“I will bring a great attitude to the team and also have experience playing at a high level and look forward to being helpful early on,” White said.

White, who has four years of playing eligibility, plans to study pre-physical therapy at Carroll College and is excited to begin not only playing soccer, but also his education in Helena.

“Carroll offers a great education, Helena is wonderful and everyone I have met here so far – the coaches, faculty and staff – have been fantastic,” White added.

White joins two Helena products, Dylan Allen and Isaac Bostrom along with Tristan Powers (Missoula), Connor Brandon (Glacier) and Nathan Boone (Whitefish) as recently announced signees.

The Fighting Saints men’s team will begin play this fall with a full schedule under the direction of recently hired Doug Mello previously of Hendrix College (Arkansas).
