Voyagers Staff Prepares for Home Opener

Posted: Updated:
Before Great Falls is treated to the voyagers home opener, preparations will need to be made. The home opener is scheduled for Saturday, June 21st at 7:00 p.m.

"You know i think you always have to plan a little bit for some chaos," says assistant general manager Matt Coakley. "We like to say it’s organized chaos. But really, as long as we keep the lines down, the fans happy, those are two of the main things we focus on."

Creating a game day experience comes with it’s fair share of elbow grease, but when it’s all said and done the staff expects Centene Stadium to be rocking. They’ve even added a new feature for the kids.

"We got a new kids zone. We’ve got jolly jumps. We’ve got two of them," says Coakley. "We actually got a new one coming in. we’ve got a Voyager one you can climb up and slide down. We’ve got a new castle that should either be in here today or tomorrow."

But at the end of the day Coakley says it takes a complete team effort to create a ballpark experience for the entire season.

"We all have a lot of experience working in baseball," says Coakley. "With different teams, collegiate teams. But I think we’re all excited just to mesh together and get going and start building some chemistry and working on the game day experience."

The front office is excited for the home opener. With all the work they’re putting in, they’re hoping that they hit it out of the park.
