Authorities Have No Leads On Missing Libby Man

LIBBY -

Lincoln county officials say they have no leads on the whereabouts of a Libby man who appears to have vanished without a trace.

"It's very unusual, very unusual. Like I said, your first instinct might be to think about foul play, but we have no evidence of that at this time," explained the Lincoln county undersheriff, Brent Faulkner.

William Tebby, 32, stepped outside the VFW bar in Libby for a smoke late Friday, May 30. He hasn't been seen since.

Authorities have not come across any new credit card purchases, and all of his cars have been found.

So far, they know he hasn't hopped on a train, but BNSF officials have been put on notice.

No one is looking right now because they don't know where to start, but David Thompson Search and Rescue has combed the nearby Kootenai River.

Tebby is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 140 pounds with blonde hair and glasses.

That Friday, he was wearing faded blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
