The Tri-City Dust Devils jumped out to an early lead, but the Spokane Indians offense was overwhelming as the Dust Devils (11-18) fell 7-3 in front of 3,189 fans at Gesa Stadium on Saturday night. The Tri-City offense was powered by the long ball in the loss.

Dust Devils outfielders Drew Weeks and Marcos Derkes each had a homer on the night. Weeks' home run was his first as a professional, and Derkes' was his second in the last four games. They both went 2-for-4 on the night, with Weeks driving in two runs.

Tri-City starter Logan Sawyer (0-1) took his first career loss, going 4 1/3 innings and giving up four runs on six hits. He walked a batter and struck out four in his outing.

Reed Garrett (3-0) got the win for the Indians (21-8). Garrett went six innings and allowed three runs on six hits with five strikeouts. He allowed both Dust Devils home runs.

John Sheehan made his professional debut for Tri-City. He pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed two runs on four hits.

Tri-City will close out its three game series with the Indians Sunday night at Gesa Stadium. There will be a Youth Baseball Clinic before the game, starting at 4 p.m., presented by Lourdes Health Network. Check-in for the clinic will start at 3:30 p.m. and all that is required for clinich attendees is a baseball glove and a ticket to Sunday night's game. Righty Ryan Warner (1-2) will take the mound for the Dust Devils to face off against Spokane right-hander Andrew Barnett (1-0). Great seats for Sunday's game are still available. Tickets can be purchased by visiting dustdevilsbaseball.com or by calling (509) 544-8789.
