Interview with WA National Guard on MT National Help with Wildfires

Posted: Updated:
HELENA -

Washington National Guard Major General Brett Daugherty spoke with ABC FOX Montana's Amanda Roley about how helpful the Montana National Guard soldiers were in fighting the wildfires in Eastern Washington.

17 Montana National Guard soldiers spent 12 days providing air support to attack the wildfires. During their time working out of From Field Hella base, the Montana Guard dropped 528,000 gallons of water on the unforgiving fires. That's a total of 264 buckets, each one carrying 2,000 gallons of water.

Thursday those soldiers returned to Montana.
