Multiple Car Accidents Result in Fatalities

GREAT FALLS - Several fatal car accidents have taken place resulting in two deaths and four injuries in the process.

The first accident happening yesterday just before 9pm Saturday near Fort Peck Lake. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the one vehicle accident took place on Highway 24 at Milemarker 35 in McCone County.
The driver, a twenty-seven year old female, was killed in the accident after being ejected from the vehicle. A twenty-nine year old female was injured in the accident.  

MHP says that the vehicle was traveling north when deer were sighted on the road. The driver tried to avoid them when it overcorrected and rolling several times before landing in a ditch.
The identity of the driver has not yet been revealed.

The second accident took place Saturday afternoon on Secondary Highway 464 and Boarding School Road in Glacier County. According to Montana Highway Patrol, this was a two car accident. The forty-eight year old male driver of the first vehicle was killed in the process and was not wearing a seatbelt. The passenger was injured, and the two occupants of a second vehicle were injured.

MHP says the first vehicle overcorrected after drifting and rolled into the passenger side of the second vehicle causing it to roll.  

Glacier County authorities say that alcohol was a factor.

The three who were injured in the accident were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
