Brewers Sign Four Year Extension with Major League Affiliate Milwaukee

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - The Helena Brewers announced that they are signing a four year extension with their major league affiliate, the Milwaukee Brewers. Helena's current deal with Milwaukee was set to expire following the end of the 2014 season. The four year deal is a first for Helena, who previously had only signed two year deals with the club. And for Milwaukee the biggest reason to stay in Helena was the fans.

"For our athletes as a city you take care of our players," said special assistant to the general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers Dan O'Brien. "The host families, the whole environment here, it's a great situation for them to learn in. The people who live in this town make us feel welcome."

"You're looking for consistency, continuity," said vice president and assistant general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers Gord Ash. "Those are both important things. We know the operators here, they do a good job. They know our expectations here so there's not a unique learning curve every year. And from that point of view has worked very well."
