Latest in The Adam Sanchez Case

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS - The latest in the story of fallen Cascade County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Dunn who lost his life this past Thursday.

We now know more on the legal status of the man accused of killing him, Adam Sanchez, who is currently in custody for his alleged role in last Thursday's fatal car chase.

Great Falls Judge Greg Pinski held a special initial appearance this past Saturday while Sanchez was still in the hospital. The initial was to go over bond revocation for previous felony charges filed against Sanchez.

After the bond was revoked, an initial appearance was conducted for Thursday's alleged criminal activity. In which Cascade County Attorney John Parker said Sanchez was traveling at speeds ranging from 95 to 110mph, and also revealed that Sanchez almost ran in to a Great Falls Police Officer when entering Black Eagle. Parker also revealed that Sanchez had levels of meth in his system that were so high he was still hospitalized over the weekend.

Judge Pinski also signed an order of transport for Sanchez upon his release from the hospital so that he would be transferred to the Choteau County Jail.

Bond was set at $2M. Sanchez has yet to be formally charged for Thursday's felony actions. We have been in contact with both Cascade and Choteau County officials who tell KFBB that a judge has yet to be assigned to this case, and it's unknown when Sanchez will be officially charged. Cascade County Attorney John Parker told us today the investigation is still on-going, and asked anyone with more information to call the Great Falls Police Department.
