Carroll Women’s Basketball Announces First Signee for 2015

Posted: Updated:
Carroll College head women's basketball coach Rachelle Sayers has announced the signing of the first recruit of the 2015 class, Hannah Dean of Gardiner High School (Montana).

Dean, a 6-foot-1 post, has made All-Conference and Academic All-State for three years and as a sophomore and junior she was named First Team All-State. She was a part of the 2014 Class C State All-Tournament Team.

“Hannah has great size, but also can shoot the three consistently and is a very good shot blocker. She is a great student on top of what she accomplishes on the court, and she is another Montana kid that will put on the purple and gold for the Saints in a year,” Sayers said.

Dean, an all-around stat-filler averaged 16.1 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, 5 steals per game, 3.3 blocks per game and shot 38.9 percent from three-point range this past season.

“Hannah is a great first addition to the talented group of freshmen we are bringing in this coming year.  I believe her best basketball is ahead of her and we look forward to watching her during her senior year,” Sayers added.

Dean is also a talented volleyball player and has made All-Conference, All-State, and Academic All-State teams for the past three years.  Dean's Gardiner team has won back-to-back state titles with a perfect 62-0 record during that time.

Sayers also made an announcement on Twitter saying that Brooke Jones from Manhattan will also be joining Carroll for 2015-16.
