The Log Gulch fire started around 12:45 PM today, it started near the Log Gulch campground and spread to private land.  Over 200 acres were burned, roads had to be closed except for the residents in the area.  D-N-R-C had helicopters working on the fire.  Officials are still investigating the cause.

This is the second time that a fire happens in that area.  The first time was in 2009 and the fire was named Indian Trail Fire, so its likely that it will burn for longer.  Currently there are 20 hand crew on site, 5 engines, and 5 helicopters.  Information Officer, Linda Williams says the wind is blowing the fire up slope and up canyon making it particularly difficult for the engines to access it.
