Teaming up with The Prickly Pear Land Trust the Carroll Basketball Team gave up its Saturday to get down and dirty and help restore one of the bike trails of Davis Gulch, in Helena.
The Prickly Pear Land Trust organizes volunteers to keep our trail systems maintained. They also advocate the preservation of our natural lands. Helena is unique because we have the second largest city part, and in this area, there's over 70 miles of trails for anyone to saunter upon.
Groups like the Carroll Basketball Team and Businesses are turning this opportunities for team building exercises. Lately, we've noticed that corporations that volunteer are making a day out of it. Trails Director of Prickly Pear, Corey Baker adds; "It's a win, win. They help us, and in turn workers get to spend a day socializing outside of work, usually they have a BBQ afterwards."
