Saints Not Taking First Win Against Tech for Granted

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - The Carroll Saints football team holds it's own destiny in it's hands. Since their week one loss one thing has remained constant: they can't afford to another loss. In week two the Saints got their first win over rival Montana Tech 38-10, and haven't lost since. Leaving their rematch with Tech on Saturday looking like an easy game, but that's not the attitude the Saints are taking into Butte this weekend.

"The first game doesn't change anything having to do with this game," said Saints senior running back Dustin Rinker. "We've got to come out and play well. We're not entitled to anything just because we won the first time."

"They're going to be very fired up playing at home," said Saints head coach Mike Van Diest. "They've come very close the last couple games so I think they kind of feel like they're on the verge of something great happening, and that's when they're the most dangerous. When you're coming in and they've lost a couple heart breakers, I know that they'll be ready. There's never a let down when you play them."
