Helena Lady Bengals Soccer Looking for Redemption in 2014

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - The 1-seeded Lady Bengals finished the season with an overall record of 8-0-and-4 while scoring 30 goals. Helena High will open the tournament against 4-seeded Billings West, who is the only team to beat them this year, even if it didn't count towards their record since it was in the preseason jamboree. But the Bengals say that they are not concerned about that loss.

"We were just figuring out how to get the back of the net when we played West the first time," said Lady Bengals head coach Mike Meloy. "We've figured that out. We know where we're going and we know how we're going to do it."

"Being a senior I want it more than ever," said Lady Bengals senior Erin Emmanuel. "A state championship to end your high school career would be awesome. And this team is good, I'm sure they want it just as much as we do do it's just who shows up to play that day."
