Townsend's Chemistry Key in it's State Title Run

Posted: Updated:

This Saturday marks the first time that the Townsend Bulldogs will compete for a state title. Thanks to a 46-14 victory over Conrad in the semi-finals. The Bulldogs entered the 2014 season only losing two players from last year's playoff team, which is one of the biggest reasons why they have been strong all year.

"It's just another year in the weight room for us to get bigger, faster, and stronger," said Bulldogs junior quarterback Jace Lewis. "And we've had a couple of players step up on the O-line like Tristin Haldaman, Colton Briggs, they stepped up real nice for us when other guys went down."

"We came together a lot last season," said Bulldogs senior lineman Evander Wilbur. "And not having to come together and relearn each other's weaknesses and strengths, it's really helpful."
