Southern Oregon Still Bitter About Last Loss to Carroll

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - This Saturday at noon the Saints host conference rival Southern Oregon in the NAIA quarterfinals. The Saints split the season series with the Raiders and obviously want to break that tie, but so does SOU. The Raiders took game one but the Saints really took it to them in game two. And that makes Southern Oregon just as hungry to break this tie and find out who's the top dog in the conference.

"This is really the defining game of the series between the two teams," said Southern Oregon defensive end Heston Altenbach. "We're just excited for the opportunity and we wouldn't want to play any other team than this team."

"This is exactly what we wanted when we lost up there earlier this season," said Southern Oregon wide receiver Jeremy Scottow. "Coach Howard said after that game that we would see them again."

"The advantage this week is the familiarity that we have with Carroll College," said Southern Oregon head coach Craig Howard. "We had better know everything about them and study that and use it to our advantage."
