University of Great Falls volleyball coach Arunas Duda has announced the signing of setter Bree Davis to the UGF program.

A former Division I player at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, the six-foot Davis was an honorable mention selection for the Arizona Community College Athletic Association at Chandler-Gilbert Community College this past season.

“We are extremely excited to add Bree to the Argo Family,” Duda said. “Being a former Division I setter, Bree has amazing court sense and a special ability to run the court well to get the best matchups for her hitters.”

Davis was an All-Section and All-State selection and a three-year varsity player at Flagstaff (Ariz.) High School. She was named the AVCA Max Preps National Player of the Week in 2012 as she led the state in assists with 963, and Flagstaff won the Division 2 state title with a 42-0 record.

Davis competed for the Northern Arizona Juniors club program and was named the MVP of the Nike and Coconino Classic tournaments in 2012.

“Not only will adding her to the court raise our level of play, but she is the type of player that will make those around her better,” Duda said. “We knew the minute we started recruiting her that her personality and passion were a perfect fit for us here at UGF, and we can't wait to get her here this spring.”

Davis appeared in 31 matches with 18 starts as a freshman and GCU in 2013. She recorded 372 assists and 29 kills for the Antelopes.
