Bruins Hoping to End Skid in Cross Town Wrestling

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - On Thursday we have our first cross town of the winter sports season when Helena and Capital will square off on the mat for cross town wrestling. For this year's seniors on both sides this is a point of pride. On the Bengals' side, they've yet to lose in their high school careers to the Bruins, which is obviously a streak that the Capital seniors want to put an end to.

"They've kind of handed it to us here the last four or five years," said Bruins head coach Deac Hall. "It's a long time coming. That's one that we really want. I think now it's kind of turned to where it's going to be a lot more competitive from here on out."

"Definitely the big hype is cross town," said Bengals senior wrestler Landon Bailey. "Everybody wants to get out there and win it, but Capital has been putting the work in too. So it'll come down to this year. I'm a senior so I hope I can continue to beat Capital."
