Saints Men's Hard Work at Practice Paying Off

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - The Carroll Saints men's basketball team has had a rough couple of years. In the past two years the Saints have won 2 and 9 games respectively, and haven't been above 500 since a 14-13 mark in 2011, until now that is. Only 11 games through the season, and the Saints have already matched last year's win total at nine games. And according to the players the biggest difference between last year and this year may just come down to how hard they work at practice.

"I think it just changed at practice," said Saints sophomore guard Zach Taylor. "Everybody comes here ready to play, excited to be here. And we genuinely just like each other."

"Not to say last year's team wasn't bought in, but everyone is just really bought in," said Saints senior guard Zayn Kirkendoll. "Everyone is getting extra shots in, they're here at practice early, we're always lifting. Everyone just has that common goal of winning."
