Saints Women Pumped for Las Vegas Shootout

Posted: Updated:

Carroll Saints Women's basketball team is heading to Sin City to for the Las Vegas Shootout tournament which will feature some of the top talent in the NAIA. The Saints open tomorrow's tournament against #5 Cambellsville, then play #3 Vanguard on Friday, before finishing up with Hope University on Saturday. This is the tournament the Saints have been waiting for as they look to see where they measure up against some of the nation's best.

It's like a national tournament feel," said Saints head coach Rachelle Sayers. "These are the types of teams that you see down there, and it's a great test for us. Especially to play them on a neutral court. You couldn't as for a better scenario."

"It just shows us what our weaknesses are, what we have to work on for the rest of the season," said Saints junior forward Jordan Johnston. "Where we are and where we need to be. So this is what we're going to see at the national tournament if we get back there."
