CMR Girls Trying to Limit Turnovers

Posted: Updated:
If the CMR girls basketball team wants to improve on it's 2-2 start to the season, the Rustlers know they will have to cut down on their turnovers.

While their defense has been the teams strength so far this season, 2nd year head coach Brian Crosby says his team needs to improve on offense and stop handing the ball to the opposition if they want to win games on a consistent basis.

"Our field goal percentage defensively is in the 30's which is what we want but offensively we turn it over a little too much still," Crosby says.

"I think our turnovers are just huge. We limit those and we have our offense it's a lot better. It's hard to win when you turn the ball over 21 or 32 times. It's hard to win a game that way," adds senior Taylor Edwards.

The CMR girls will be back in action on Thursday night against Helena High in the Capitol City, while the Rustler boys will host the Bengals that same night.
