Saints Football Signs Four Out-of-State Players

Carroll College head coach Mike Van Diest has announced the signing of four out-of-state players who will join the Fighting Saints football team this fall. This is the group is the second group of signees that look to replace twenty graduating seniors.

Cole Greff – 6-4 - 210 - Linebacker/Tight End - Golden, Colo. Cole is a 3 year starter for the Golden Demons High School football team. He was a first team All-Conference selection in 2013 and 2014. This past season Cole registered 115 total tackles with 4 sacks and had 32 receptions for 249 yards. He was his team's captain during his junior and senior years. He is also an All-Conference performer in both basketball and track in 2013 and 2014. His basketball team is one of the top ranked teams in the state of Colorado. He is a three academic letterman and carries a 3.78 GPA. He holds many school records in the weight room. Greff is the second player the Saints have signed from the state of Colorado. Willy Clements a 6-3 185 offensive lineman from Holy Family High School Committed to Carroll in October.

Craig Kein – 6-2 – 210 - Linebacker - Burlington, Ill. Craig is a four-year letter winner in football and is a three-year starter. As a senior Craig was named first team All-Conference at the linebacker position and was named to the Daily Herald First Team All-Area as well this past season Cole led his team on defense with 112 total tackles and also plays running back. He was captain of his football team this past season. He will be a 4 year letter winner in wrestling and has gone to the state tournament and has gone to the state tournament in that sport. He carries a 3.1 GPA.

Isazah King – 6-0 - 185lb - QB/DB - Hidden Valley Lake, Calif. Isazah is a 4 sport athlete at Lower Lake High School. He was named All-League as a quarterback and was the league's defensive MVP. He was named All County MVP on both offense and defense. He was All-League on both sides of the ball as a junior. During his senior year Isazah rushed for 1,709 and passed for 1002 yards on defense he had six interceptions with 83 total tackles. He is a National Football Foundation award winner and carries a 3.6 GPA.

Colbey Bruney - 6-2 - 185 - RB/LB - Sheridan, Wyo. Colbey lettered 3 years in football and 2 years in track. He has been an All-Conference running back and linebacker during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. This past season he was selected first team All-State on defense and was named to the Casper Star Tribune second team Super 25 for the state of Wyoming. Just this week it was announced that Bruney will participate in the Wyoming Shrine Game. He runs the 100m, 200m and 4x100m races. He has received the distinguished scholastic achievement award for the past two years and is a member of the National Honor Society. He carries a 3.48 GPA

"This is an outstanding group of students athletes," Van Diest said. "Isazah King is a very gifted athlete and will be a difference maker on either side of the ball. Cole Greff and Craig Kein are very physical linebackers who can run and will play early in their careers and Colbey Bruney will move to the safety position here at Carroll where he can utilize his talents."
