Saints Open Softball Season with First Spring Practice in School History

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - Today the Carroll softball team held their first ever spring practice in school history. And it won't be long before this team finds out where they stack up against the competition. The Saints will hit the road in 17 days for Salem, Oregon where they will compete in the Corban tournament. But the most exciting thing for this team is that both players and coaches know that they are setting the foundation for the future of this program.

"It's nice to know that we're the first Carroll College softball team," said Saints third baseman Kaydee Parsons. "And it's cool to make all the traditions, and pretty much set the playing field for Carroll College softball."

"I try to treat it as any other first day I've been at, but there's something special," said Saints head coach Aaron Jackson. "We started practice, and I addressed the team, and it became a pretty emotional moment for me. To be back home in the city that I grew up in to start this thing is pretty special."
