Montana's Largest Farm and Ranch Trade Show is Coming to Town

Montana's largest farm and ranch trade show is coming to Great Falls. The 2015 Montana Agricultural and Industrial Exhibit, also commonly referred to as MAGIE, will take over the Montana Expo Park later this week.  

Over 225 exhibitors are scheduled to attend the three day event where the latest in farming technology, such as guidance systems, implements, Ag business management, livestock handling equipment, and irrigation will be on display and ready to be discussed. In addition to the expo, a variety of events such as an ATV safety class, daily seminars and the KMON competition will take place. The schedule for those events is as follows:

  • Thursday, Jan. 22:
    • ATV Safety class
    • Seminar: Brian Hale from Texas discussing Social Media @ 11 a.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 23rd:
    •  Seminar: Brenda Wilson from Spectrum Commodities talking about investments and what the low oil prices mean @ 11 a.m.
    • FFA / 4-H KMON Competition: Over 600 kids will participate
  • Saturday, Jan. 24th
    • Seminar: Rose Malisani from the Cascade County Extension office speaking about the direction of the 2014 Farm Bill @ 11 a.m.
    • FFA / 4-H KMON Competition Awards

Doors will open at 9 a.m. each day from Thursday, Jan. 22nd to Saturday, Jan. 24th. Tickets are $5.00 at the door. For more information, go to kmon.am.com.

    Less than a month ago, 25-year-old Allen Roberts was arrested on 18 charges after crashing into a Pita Pit in Great Falls on 10th Ave. S.  What originally was supposed to take a week turned into several as store manager Christine Rattlingtail repaired severe damages and revamped the store.  Today, the Pita Pit is finally RE-opening their doors with a newly renovated interior.  Robert's arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, November 15th, at 2 pm.
