Wolf Pack to Back: Cut Bank Raises $4,000 for Robert Back

Posted: Updated:

The Cut Bank basketball team raised $4,000 for Belt's Robert Back, who has been hospitalized since the Huskies' football game versus C-J-I back in September.

Earlier today Keith Hoyer, who teaches at Belt High School, received an envelop containing 46 checks totaling $4,000.

"I was blown away," says Hoyer. "It's just amazing that people are still remembering him. Even though it's been since September 12th, people still have Robert in their thoughts and prayers. It's amazing."

Belt has been getting support from different middle schools and high schools (all classifications) since Robert's injury. Some schools have even held auctions and bake sales, including district rival Centerville.

The Cut Bank Basketball team alone raised $2,205. Head Coach Josh Larson called Mr. Hoyer before Christmas to tell him that they were going to do something for Robert. They held an auction after the first of the year to help raise money.

Robert Back Sr. gave KFBB an update on Robert's condition back in December. You can read the story and watch the video here.
