Bohn Moerer Invite Serving as Preview for State Swimming Saturday

Posted: Updated:
HELENA - It's been a long time since Helena High and Capital swimming has been at home, not since December 5th, but the wait is almost over! This Saturday both the Bengals and Bruins will host one of the largest meets in the state in the Bohn Moerer invite at Carroll College. 12 teams will be competing at this weekend's meet in what most people are calling the preview for the state tournament. For the Bengals and Bruins most of the competition they'll see Saturday will be the same they'll see in two weeks at state so it's a good way to get a look at their competition.

"Just like football players we have a home pool advantage," said Bengals senior swimmer Cameron Dole. "Which is nice because we swim in that everyday and every morning. This meet is mostly just to better our times."

"It's really just good to watch them swim," said Bruins senior swimmer Kayla Pocha. "Especially when we're not in the same race we'll watch them and see how they swim and what their goals are. It's good to see that going into state."

Teams competing:
Bigfork, Billings Central, Bozeman, Butte, Columbia Falls, Flathead, Glacier, Havre, Hardin, Helena Capital, Helena High, Missoula Big Sky/Loyola, Missoula Hellgate, Missoula Sentinel and Whitefish
