University of Great Falls volleyball coach Arunas Duda has announced the signing of Kiara Rivera to the Lady Argonauts program.

Rivera is a libero from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“We are extremely excited to get a commitment from such a talented defensive player like Kiara,” Duda said. “She first impressed us with her quickness, ball control, and play making ability, but the more we got to know her the more we enjoyed the person she is.”

Rivera is a three-time honor student from the Wesleyan Academy in Puerto Rico where she was also a three-year captain, team MVP, and Coaches Award winner.

She plays for the nationally recognized club team Borinquen Coqui and won the Junior National Championship twice while going undefeated in Puerto Rico. She has most recently played with Team Torrimar which won the December tournament and was named tournament MVP.

“She will add an instant fire to our team and her competitiveness will drive our entire defense daily,” Duda said. “We couldn't be more pleased with the student, person, player, and teammate we are getting.”
