Posted: Updated:

ABC FOX Montana has a reporter on scene of a standoff in Silesia.

Carbon County deputies are at the scene, and Broadway Avenue is currently closed off.

According to Sheriff Mike Linder, Yellowstone County deputies are assisting in the situation.

According to Carbon County Sheriff Josh Mcquillan, a man was firing a .44 handgun inside and outside of his home. They have at least five confirmed shots that were fired by the suspect. No one was injured. McQuillan says the sister and neighbors made the 911 call.

There is a crisis negotiator out of Yellowstone County who has made contact with and is currently negotiating with the man and trying to resolve the situation peacefully.

McQuillan says he believes alcohol is a factor in this situation.
