UGF's Legel Named to NAIA All-America 3rd Team

University of Great Falls women's basketball player Erin Legel was named to the 2014-15 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball All-America Third Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Legel, who earned honorable mention last season was an All-Frontier Conference First Team selection and a three-time conference player of the week as the Lady Argonauts reached the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in program history.

This marks the second All-America nod for the junior as both Legel and senior post Lindsey Abramson earned All-American Honorable Mention from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association last week.

It was also announced Monday that Legel was named to the NAIA National Tournament All-Tournament Second Team. Legel was joined by Bethel's Tayla Foster, Campbellsville's Caroline Owen, Oklahoma City's Ouleymatou Coulibaly and Westmont's Kristin Karr.

Legel averaged 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals for UGF which reached the Elite Eight at the NAIA Tournament and finished the season 24-10 overall.
