Bobcat Supporters Excited for Upcoming Triangle Classic

Posted: Updated:

Bobcat fans rejoice! This year's Triangle Classic is this weekend in Great Falls.

Fans will get a chance to see their beloved Cats take the field at Memorial Stadium for their second to last scrimmage of the Spring on Saturday at 1:30, but the banquet the night before has everybody talking. That's because the featured guest will be former Chicago Bears All-Pro linebacker Brian Urlacher. Organizers of the event say they are having to make it bigger to accommodate all of the interest.

"We are making more room and bringing in more tables for everyone who wants to come in and see this," event MC Jim Sargent says. "And not just for North Central Montana, but it's statewide. People are really excited to see this player that's coming in, played for the Chicago Bears, linebacker that has pretty good accolades, I think he's going to do a tremendous job and he's brought a lot of people in here and our sponsors obviously are the one to thank to get him here and it's huge, it's a wonderful event every year," Sargent adds.

Tickets for the Triangle Classic banquet are $85 with dinner, and $55 without. Doors open at the Four Seasons Arena Friday night at 6. Then, on Saturday, there are youth football and cheer camps at the practice fields at Great Falls High. Cost is $10. You can sign up there. The scrimmage is at 1:30 at Memorial Stadium. Tickets are $5. KFBB is giving some away. Stop by the station between 8 to 5 to get some. For more information on the event, contact Jim Walden at 799-7091.
