Bobcat Football Preps for Triangle Classic

This weekend the Montana State Bobcats will be going on a short road trip up north.

The annual Triangle Classic takes place this weekend up in Great Falls at Memorial Stadium.

"Obviously, we want to put on a show for the people that are coming out to see us and don't always get to see us,” said senior defensive tackle, Taylor Sheridan. “I think it's going to be great for them to because we only get to do it once a year there. The only other place in Montana we get to play is in Missoula every other year. So it's just fun to see other people and play for other people."

On Friday former Chicago Bear and all pro linebacker, Brian Urlacher, will be the guest speaker for the team banquet.

"It's great man,” said Jamie Marshall, Co-Defensive Coordinator. “I'm a Bears fan, die hard, one of the few and far around these parts of the woods. I can't wait to see him and meet him and see how big he is in person."

The team is excited to meet Urlacher, but they also hope they can learn something from him.

"People get excited when a big name like that is coming to town and talking to the group,” senior John Weidenaar said. “Just to see a guy and hear a guy who has been there and done that is pretty cool."

"I remember watching him and he seemed like the smartest guy in the world,” said Sheridan. “He was definitely the quarterback of the defense. Just to kind of hear if he has little tips, little mentality things or something we could apply to our defense as well. Whatever edge we can get, we'll take it."

Even with Urlacher and a new surrounding, the team says their just happy to put on the pads and play in front of the fans.

"It's just super exciting to play in front of all the fans that love us,” said sophomore cornerback, Jaylen Price. “I feel like anywhere we go, it's going to be pretty exciting and intense."
