MSU Football to be on ROOT Sports for Five Games in 2015

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Five of Montana State's 2015 football games have been selected by ROOT Sports for the regional network's Big Sky Game of the Week package, ROOT and the league office announced Thursday.

The Big Sky Conference's ROOT Sports package, part of the DIRECTV SPORTS Network which features national distribution, begins with a premiere non-conference showdown between Big Sky foes on Sept. 19. The Cats visit two-time defending league champion Eastern Washington in a game pitting schools that have combined for eight FCS Playoff appearances. One or both of MSU and the Eagles have won or shared the Big Sky crown in each of the last five seasons.

Montana State also appears on ROOT four other times throughout the season. The Bobcats host home ROOT SPORTS games against Sacramento State (Oct. 10) and Southern Utah (Nov. 7), and plays a road game on the network at Portland State (Oct. 17). The Big Sky regular season on the DIRECTV SPORTS Network ends with the annual Brawl of the Wild on Nov. 21 in Bozeman, when the Bobcats and Grizzlies get together for the 115th time.

The 2015 season is the fourth of a multi-year partnership between the Big Sky Conference and DIRECTV SPORTS Networks, which plans to produce and televise each of the package's games in high definition. Most of the contests will be available in he Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions.

The Bobcats and UM each appear in five ROOT contests in 2015.
