The Helena High boys track and field team finished one point short of a title in 2014, but this year they found themselves on that first place stage; even if they did have to share it with Flathead. The Bengals and Braves both tied for first with 83 points. Going into the final event, the 1600 meter relay, Helena was actually down ten points and needed a win to tie, and that's exactly what they did. The Bengals got the win to secure their spot in the winners circle.

"These kids have worked so hard all year, and it was the depth of the team that really took us through and carried us over," said Bengals head coach Tony Arntson. "We had some tough races, and tough events in today that we lost some points in, and we had some other kids step up and score big points."
